How to Delete Your Account in the Mobile App
You do not need to submit support tickets, wait for approvals, or email staff. Follow these simple steps inside the BookitSocial app:
Open Profile
Launch the BookitSocial app and tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Open Settings
Scroll down to the bottom of your settings and tap Delete Account.
Confirm Request
Review the safety prompt, and tap Confirm Deletion to finalize.
Immediate Logout
You are immediately signed out, your profile disappears, and your data enters the deletion cycle.
Deletion Timeline & What Happens to Your Data
Immediate Invisibility (Day 0)
Your profile avatar, bio, and social connections immediately disappear from attendee guest lists, chat rooms, and search. Your authentication session tokens are permanently invalidated.
30-Day Recovery Safety Window
If you requested deletion by accident or changed your mind, you can email info@bookitsocial.co from your registered email within 30 days to restore your account.
Permanent Cryptographic Anonymisation (Day 31+)
Personal identifiers (name, phone number, bio, avatar, device logs) are completely and irreversibly scrubbed. Historical records display as "Deleted user".
Statutory Data Retention Obligations
Under Australian law, certain transaction records must be retained for auditing and dispute reconciliation:
